Amarylis (Maria) Matic

BIO

IMG_2869.jpg

Amarylis (Maria) Matic loves to paint simple, little moments of daily life filled with happiness and positive emotions. These cute, lovely moments can last for a fraction of a second or a few minutes, but through the process of painting, they last for days, and hopefully stay for years as long as the acrylic paint doesn’t fade away. She likes to find beauty and harmony in every day life. She lives and works in Canada and comes from a family that cherishes and supports art.

Reflecting a strong sense of colour her paintings are bold, joyful, and expressive.

Using acrylics as her primary medium, she builds the surfaces of her canvases with many  layers of paint and glazes.
